What sets the minimum: trims and collar sourcing. Ribs, drawcords and zips push a fleece style above the 100-piece floor of a plain tee.

What we make

Fleece we make

Pick the fabric, the weight and the trims; the factory built for it quotes. Matching sets in one brief are fine.

Styles

  • Pullover hoodies
  • Zip-through hoodies
  • Crew-neck sweatshirts
  • Matching sweatpants

Fabrics

  • Brushed-back fleece
  • French terry (loopback)
  • Cotton and cotton-poly blends
  • Organic cotton where the factory holds the certificate
  • Weight named in GSM

Finishes

  • Screen print
  • Embroidery
  • Garment dye or wash
  • Drawcords, aglets, eyelets
  • Labels, folded and bagged

Zips and metal trims are often imported into India. Confirm them before the sample so they don’t hold up bulk.

Where it’s made

Where hoodies are made

Fleece is a knit, so it follows the knit clusters. Heavier winter pieces can sit with the winter cluster.

What it costs

What a hoodie costs to make

Fleece weight and trims move the price most. Fabric is roughly half the factory price.

Typical cut, make and trim

$10–20 per piece

Cut, make and trim for a hoodie, before fabric. A market figure, not a quote.

  • Trims and packaging8–12%

  • Wastage and rejects3–6%

Share of FOB, market ranges from published industry sources. They won’t total exactly 100% on any one style. Fabric moves your price more than any haggling on the making charge.

    Making hoodies in India

Five questions brands ask before a first run.

Usually 150–250 pieces per style. Trims and collar sourcing set the floor, not the sewing line. Our group minimum is 100 per style, and we confirm the exact figure with the factory before you commit.

Typical cut, make and trim is $10–20 per hoodie before fabric. Our calculator estimates $14.00–$24.00 per piece ex-factory at 300–500 pieces with a mid fabric. These are estimates; the factory quotes after reading your brief.

Plan 3–5 weeks for sampling, then 12–16 weeks from approved sample to goods shipped on a first order, and 8–10 weeks on a repeat.

Diwali (October or November, date moves every year) closes most factories for 1–2 weeks; the monsoon (June to September) slows dyeing.

Yes. Zips and other metal hardware are often imported into India, which adds cost and a lead-time dependency. Name the zip in the brief and confirm it before the sample, so bulk isn’t waiting on it.

Usually Tiruppur, India’s cotton knit cluster, for fleece and French terry. Heavier winter-weight pieces can go to Ludhiana, especially next to a sweater order.
